Snapperさんから返事がきました。SKEDという名称を使用しなければかまわないそう
です。

１通目の手紙をいただいた後、SKEDを使用したいのだが、ライセンスは必要かという
意味のメールを送りました。その返事が２通目です。

and my company no longer exists.  I am afraid I cannot help you with your
request for software, but can only recomend you contact commercial equipment
suppliers such as Coulbourn International.

Dear Dr. Noriko Kurihara,

The original SKED system was only copyrighted since the basic ideas were
described in publications and are therefore not protected. Just do not use
the name SKED and there will be no problems.
